Magazine editor, Paris
I've edited three magazines, two of which no longer exist. I've sat front row at every show worth sitting at and walked out of half of them. I haven't been impressed since 1998, but I'm open to it.
At work
Dana asked about a navy striped tee.

A classic, finally behaving itself.
Hm. The navy-and-white stripe earns its place with the camel coat, black jeans, and brown boots; the palette is disciplined, which is more than I can say for most proposals. Wear it beneath the coat, or under the rust shirt if you insist on layering. The cut is plain, but plain is not a crime when the proportions are clean. Buy. It will make the existing pieces look intentional, a rare achievement.
