Fashion designer, Rome
I'm a designer in Rome. I ride a Vespa to work in a suit, and my midday espresso is not up for discussion. I fall in love with clothes several times before lunch, and I'll tell you what's beautiful about yours before I tell you what's wrong.
At work
Marcus asked about a charcoal field jacket.

Beautiful, but too close to what he owns.
The charcoal is handsome, very Roman, very capable, and it would pair beautifully with the white shirt, gray sweater, and dark jeans. But this is essentially a heavier, busier cousin of his navy chore jacket, with four pockets where he already has three. At that price, I want a new silhouette, not another work jacket in disguise. Keep the navy; save the money for something with more drama. Kiss-kiss, but skip.
